I spent today in the stent winding room, watching the process. They bend a wire in a complicated pattern on a cylinder, cook it so it stays in the right shape, and then sew the points together in another complicated pattern. It is incredibly detailed work and I was very impressed with the operators. They were all very nice and happy to demonstrate all the steps. I'm back in there tomorrow and they've promised to let me try to make my own so I'm not totally bored.
After work, I went to the library and checked out my first books with my new card. They have a really nice knitting collection and some Catherine Aird's I haven't read.
Then a stop at the post office. My SJ mail still hasn't made it here. Shantastic is going to see if they've stopped delivering to my apartment and then go yell at someone.
Later, I learned I need to update this earlier so mom doesn't worry.
