Monday

We started monday at one of the engineering/manufacturing facilities. We were learning about process maps so there was a tour of another clean room. Over lunch, we told moving horror stories. One guy's car was crushed on the moving truck. Another had to wait 2 weeks for half his belongings after the movers miscalculated how much space they needed. A second truck was added and then lost in storage for a very long time. I need to call my moving rep to make sure they know how many boxes I have so that doesn't happen to me.

After lunch, we had more stats, including a catapult experiment. We didn't do the greatest job deciding on our high and low settings so I don't know how we'll do at hitting a target next week. I did remember enough of my jmp skills to set up a screening DOE though. Our experiment on friday involved m&ms, which was much tastier.

I had a paycheck in my mailbox and a postcard from my cousin, so much nicer than bills.

Moe, a guy from class, called just before 8 to invite me over for vegetarian sloppy joes with him and Karen, the girl from Scotland. It was a new recipe so he experimented while Karen and I discussed sci-fi shows. I won a penny from her for knowing that Doctors Bashir and Baltar were not the same actor (I'm not ashamed of my geekiness). I loaned her my Sarah Connor Chronicles dvds today. Moe took my Spaced after hearing Karen and I raving. The sloppy joes turned out pretty well. Moe wasn't really convinced so he has promised to cook again for us.
