A few of the new people had a meeting with our Product Specialist this morning. He's partly marketing but also attends surgeries and meets with doctors. We got an overview of the history of our product, a summary of issues that generated updates, and reasons why we're better than our competitors. It was pretty interesting.
After lunch, I signed up to work with manufacturing to update procedures for a new process we're implementing the first of next year. It's a very high profile project so it's a bit intimidating but will look good. I'm also going to try to get on the team working to set up templates for a lot of the documents we have to write. There's no set form right now for anything so everyone does them differently. It's going to drive me crazy.
There was a meeting of the Women Business Leadership Network (I think that's the name) in the afternoon. Our CEO was there to talk about her history and what they're doing to improve retention and the number of women in leadership. I was very impressed and it was nice to hear how much of a priority these issues were.
Right now, I'm avoiding packing for my Cincinnati trip. I'm driving down to Phoenix tomorrow night. My flight leaves at 7 AM thursday so I'd rather not wait to drive down then.
