We took the boys plus 2 cousins over to their aunt Carrie's today. The plan was to give the cousins' mom time to get ready for the shower tomorrow (she's hosting) and to help Carrie prepare some of the menu. The first part worked out great. Trying to cook with 3 almost 3 year olds and a 4 year old didn't work as well. We managed though. I mixed up batter for zucchini bread and Carrie made chicken salad when we took the gang downstairs to play in the fort. Carrie and her husband just bought a house and he used a bunch of empty boxes and extra sheets to construct a very impressive maze/fort in the basement. We ended up under bits of it but everyone had fun.
After dropping off the cousins, we went back to grandma's for a break and a nap for the twins. Connie's mom had spent the morning whipping up an example of a possible bridesmaid dress. It was very impressive and might end up the winner. After the fashion show, Connie and I took the opportunity to run some errands.
More of the family came over for dinner so it was a bit crazy but that helped wear the boys out and they dropped right off to sleep after a bath and a story. The rest of us followed pretty soon after.

Sounds like an awesome fort. Are you there for the wedding itself or just for the prep work?
The wedding is next April so this trip was just prep. I will be a bridesmaid though, which I'm very excited about.
