Location change

I rented a car on sunday so I could drive down to Cincinnati for the rest of my vacation. They gave me a Mazda which made my normal figuring out how everything works on the road much, much easier. On the way, I visited some college friends outside Ann Arbor. We had lunch and caught up and I got to see Laila and Chris' little girl (wearing one of my sweaters). She's talking and understanding a lot. She was under a year the last time I saw her so a lot has changed (she's 14 months now).


Rachel and Brian had brought over a new board game called Equate. It's basically Scrabble with math. I was the fifth person and planned to leave so I just watched a few rounds. I think I'd do better with the formulas than words.

I got back on 23 around 3 for the rest of the drive. There was an accident (or something, lots of sirens but no sign of anything dramatic on the side of the road) north of Dayton that stopped traffic completely for a bit (duri
ng a particularly gorgeous sunset so I wasn't too unhappy and the construction through Dayton was horrible but the rest of the drive went well (including Kate's work site which was very well thought out). I had to drop the car off at the airport which meant going to Kentucky. Connie's parents picked me up there and we hit Indiana on the way back to their place so I hit 4 states yesterday.
