Christmas

Mom and Mary drove down to Pat's for a late lunch and a lot of snacking (my family is very good at munchies for holidays). Mom brought deviled eggs, which made me very happy. Hers are excellent and not re-creatable by anyone else (or me at least). We watched a lot of hgtv and exchanged presents.

My mom, brother, and sister had postponed our normal Christmas traditions until friday so I wouldn't miss out (although I suspect Mary pushed for pancakes both mornings). It was nice to have Jim around and we all got good stuff. Later that afternoon, we met a couple of aunts at Birch Run (outlet mall) for shopping and dinner.

Carol was supposed to come over on saturday but the weather shifted. We hit the 50s, which was nice, but there was also a very heavy fog that kept her off the roads. On the plus side, Northwest canceled Mary's afternoon flight so she got to hang out at home through monday. We ended up having dinner in Bay City with family friends. It's been a while since our schedules lined up enough to see each other face to face so it was a good night.

The mister is also a master of the deviled egg kung fu. It's a very particular art.
