This is the table this morning:
I started shoveling but didn't get far.
Another shot of my backyard:
While attempting to get a better shot, Jake escaped. He's lucky he didn't sink any further than this:
Unfortunately, I shut my back door (to keep Nog in) without realizing it was locked (with all the snow back there, I haven't been worrying about it so it's been unlocked for a while now (or so I thought)). After a moment of panic, I waded over to my neighbor's (with a squirming cat) to borrow a phone. She was extremely nice (even made me a cup of tea) and I managed to find Michelle (my only friend listed in the phone book) who called Matt (whose roommate has a new 4 wheel drive he was excited to try out). Jake and I only had to hang out across the street for a half hour or so before rescue arrived.
An awesome rescue which helped my neighbor shovel her driveway:
And mine (I sent them home with cookies as thanks):
The path to my front door was up to my knees but I was thrilled to be able to finally get inside.
I'm definitely not planning on leaving the house for a while. And, if Jake escapes again, I may just leave him.
It's not supposed to stop snowing until sometime tomorrow so I'm very glad I'm stocked up on food and warm kitties.

Understatement of the year, but that is a massive amount of snow.
Also, saw that Flagstaff was on the Weather Channel again.
Stay safe and warm, akg.
I'm so glad we're famous.
Thanks for the warm wishes. I'm feeling very cozy under blankets and a cat waiting for a new Supernatural.
I love the before and after picture of the table. And tell Jake he'll have to deal with me if he escapes again.
