August: Osage County

Last friday, Matt noticed the next show for our ASU season tickets was that weekend. It was a play this time - August: Osage County. Neither of us knew anything about it and decided it was better not to (neither of us are big fans of family drama) so we went down blind.

We got down to Phoenix early but weren't hungry enough for lunch so Matt took us to a French bakery for macarons, which were delicious.

The play was actually pretty funny but was 3 and a half hours long so we were starving by the end. Matt picked another great restaurant for dinner.

After we ate, we went to Matt's parents' house to raid their citrus trees. I wish I'd gotten pictures but it was very dark and I was in charge of the light. We stocked up on lemons and grapefruit and then drove to Matt's grandmother's house for oranges and tangerines. I'm still not used to the fact that we can drive 2 hours from snow and find fruit trees.
