Mail!

I got mail today! Next week's entertainment weekly beat last week's. The SJ PO is not efficient. I also got permission from the library to get a card (because I don't have an AZ driver's license yet, I had to fill out an application for one and wait for them to review my case). Unfortunately, I didn't get this until after 5 so I have to wait until tomorrow.

Lauren spent today running around so I didn't do much following. I had a meeting to learn about the many, many medical publications they have available. We all wished we had had their system when we had been in school. I also got an official lab notebook in case I come up with a patentable idea someday. For lunch, a group of us went out to say goodbye to Lauren. She handed off a couple of jobs to me afterwards and one of my sponsors arranged for me to observe the steps of my part's manufacturing process. I don't know if I'll have much else to do at this point, other than continuing to read specs.

After work, I drove around a Flagstaff neighborhood looking for new house options for M&M. One of them was having an open house so I wandered through. The realtor was very excited about us moving down from Michigan because her husband is from there. Apparently, his mom lives on State St. in downtown SJ.

Then I got a carwash. Poor Baxter was looking very, very bad.

The County Fair is this weekend. I'm definitely going (it includes an Afternoon Hootenany!).
