Meteor Crater

The friday after Thanksgiving, we went to visit the Meteor Crater east of town. It's the best preserved crater on earth and is from a collision ~50,000 years ago.

Shannon and I went during my house hunting trip last summer but didn't have time to take the hike so it was nice to go back.

Mary and me (mom wasn't so sure about the path to this point):

Can you spot the life size astronaut and American flag?

There are 2 cats wandering the site. This one had snuck into the museum for some attention.
