Stair railings

Chris started replacing my stair rail today. I'm very excited. I think we figured out everything except what to put along the bottom to hide the edge of the carpet. I'll have to pick out some trim but I'm not sure if I want it to be flat and plain or match what I have along the floor everywhere else.
