Last day in Flag

June 2nd was my last day in Arizona. Carol,  mom, and I got up early that morning so we could drop mom off at the shuttle for her flight back to Michigan. Carol and I ran errands on the way back to the house (the movers packed all of the cat litter, we had a box of stuff for Mary that would not fit in the car, we needed breakfast (Bellavia, yum)). We finished up and decided we’d be able to leave town around 1:30.

Unfortunately, Nog had other ideas and completely vanished just before we were ready to throw him in the car. Since the house was completely empty at this point and we’d been going in and out of the garage loading up the car, we had to assume he’d gotten outside somehow and started searching my neighborhood. After 3 hours and no luck, I was falling apart. That’s when Nog wandered out from his hiding space behind the washing machine (way back behind. Carol and I had both checked there and hadn't seen anything). He was surprised to be caught and ran right back but I managed to drag him out (after bribery didn't work). He went immediately into the crate in the car. Jake was a lot easier since he hadn't really moved all day (half a pill knocked him out).

I didn't get a picture of the entire cat setup (there was a tunnel from the crate to an enclosed litter box) but here are some shots of the cats in the crate:
